Eric Liou is an associate at Plager Schack LLP and a patent attorney, registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). His practice focuses on intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. His experience in patent prosecution covers a wide variety of technologies, including business methods and the electrical and mechanical arts. He also has experience in licensing agreements, asset purchase agreements and business entity formation.
Prior to joining Plager Schack LLP, Mr. Liou gained extensive experience serving as an associate at an intellectual property law firm, an extern at a global telecommunications corporation, and a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
He received his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where he earned a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property, and his Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign.
